前几天，读信息安全的技术资料，看到这句话：

This is in contrast to the use of argumentum ad ignorantiam where just because you have no evidence of a protection breach implies a fully protected.

这和无知的辩论相反。后者认为就算是没有证据的安全失效，也要进行完全的保护。

这里出现一个拉丁语词组 argumentum ad ignorantiam 意思是无知的辩论。其实说白了，就是无理取闹的意思吧。

这个 argumentum ad ignorantiam 是一种谬论，其推理过程有两种：

其一：假设 p 断言是无法证实的，∴ 非 p 为真。

其二：假设非 p 断言是无法证实的，∴ p 为真。

举个例子：

• 因为你不能证明外星人的存在，所以外星人不存在。
• 因为你不能证明外星人不存在，所以外星人存在。

再回头看本文引用的那段话，其实就是说，因为无法证明安全防护是不是会被攻破，我们就要不遗余力的砸大价钱进行网络安全保护。这就有点无知者无畏的意思啦。也就是所谓的 argumentum ad ignorantiam。
