最近要给同事们做一个信息安全开发相关的培训，顺便学学公司的培训网站关于 PPT 方面的培训：

You’re probably planning to develop slides for your presentation. If so, consider using the outline mode in your presentation software to start organizing your thoughts. Resist the temptation to flesh out any slides at this stage though.

这里告诉我们，在设计 PPT 的时候，可以考虑先从大纲模式开始组织内容。然后再填充内容。切忌不可以在这个阶段就开始着手把 PPT 的骨肉变得丰满。这里就用到了flesh out这个词，表示在大纲中填充细节。

flesh 正是食用肉的意思。flesh out不就是长出肉来，或者丰满骨肉的意思么？

比如：The young woman is fleshing out 这个年轻女人正长肉变圆。

而flesh out的引申义则是添加细节。根据剑桥英语字典 flesh something out 就是 to add more details or information to something，给某物添加更多细节信息。

比如：These plans need to be fleshed out with some more figures. 这些计划需要更多的图片来扩充细节。
