单词本：stem

最近花了两个兴起看完了《organizational behavior》 (Organizational Behavior 2005)，也学了不少管理学知识以及英语单词。在组织的社会道德章节，作者说有道德的业务行为根植于有道德的组织文化。

In short, ethical business practices stem from ethical organizational cultures.

这里，stem 的意思可以翻译为根植于。而其本意则是花草的茎、树木的干。以及高脚杯的脚。烟斗的柄。词语的词干。从源头看，这个词和单词本：stamina 一样，也是源自 stare 站立。即立着的树干。

很巧，最近我们公司的大老板也用到了这个词。他在内网发文说我们这种跨国跨文化的人才布局，有好处也有很大的挑战。
