torrential 的名词形式是 torrent 急流。

比如the stream had become a raging torrent小溪变成了汹涌的急流。

torrent 也形象的表示连发、并发。

法语也有la torrent：il pleutà torrents. 大雨如注。

菲律宾就比较惨了，他们那儿整个城市被淹没了：
